TransTech Engineers and Manufactures Systems that Power Moving Machines. We have been providing power transfer solutions for over 55 years, and we do everything in-house. Management, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, Support, Production Planning, Production, Shipping, and After Sales Support all take place under one roof. That makes us flexible and fast in fulfilling customer orders and solving customer problems. We provide solutions, not products. Our products are the solutions we provide. Tangibly that means that some of our products have narrow applications and are unique to a specific customer; and some of our products have broader applications and are useful without much specificity. We love to solve power transfer problems, and our products are a reflection of that passion. If you have a power transfer problem, please consider partnering with us to help you solve that problem.
We got our start working on brush holders in Pittsburgh. The facility moved to the upstate of South Carolina in 1984 and we have been growing ever since. We got our first pantograph contract in 1976 and have been providing power transfer solutions to the Transit Industry ever since. In 1995 we became part of the Fandstan Electric Group which includes Brecknell-Willis, Stemmann-Technik, and AKAPP. In 2004 we acquired the Delta Star / H.K. Porter line of conductor bars, and we have leveraged that technology to serve steel mills and transit authorities. As an extension of that business, we began offering the AKAPP Multiconductor in 2006, and, most recently, we became the exclusive North American provider by acquiring MOLEX's book of business in 2011.
Together with our sister companies in the Fandstan Electric Group, we can provide solutions to some of the most difficult applications.
