PPL(A)
Obtaining the PPL(A) – Private Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) will be your first step in making your dreams of flying come true.
This qualification will allow you to act as Pilot in Command (PIC) of single-engine, piston-powered aircraft with the maximum take-off weight of 5700 kilograms, during the day, in Visual Meteorological Conditions (i.e. good weather conditions).
The purpose of whole PPL(A) training is to make students capable of executing flight operations in accordance with the Visual Flight Rules (VFR). The PPL(A) training has been divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. Applicants can only proceed to the practical training, if they have completed the theoretical part, which is in accordance with the regulations. More about PPL(A) theory course may be found HERE
The practical training includes 45 hours of flight time (40 hours on the Cessna 150/152 and 5 hours in the FNPT II flight simulator). Out of these 45 hours, about 10 are so-called ‘solo’ hours, or hours of flight without an instructor. Before executing a ‘solo’ flight, you will be asked to obtain at least the FCL class 2 medical certificate, as well as the commercial radio operator license in the aviation radio communication service issued by UKE (Office of Electronic Communications) on the basis of the positive exam results.
