The Raven is our main work horse heavy lift multicopter. Designed for take off weights up to 25 Kgs the Raven is more than capable of lifting a 10 Kg or more payload. Made from high grade pure carbon fibre and custom manufactured 6061 grade aluminium, this is an extremely tough, folding frame in X8 configuration, designed with ultimate safety in mind, and built to withstand the rigors of real world commercial use.
Originally designed for lifting high end movie cameras, the Raven has gone on to carry a range of heavy and expensive payloads, wher power and reliability are key. Lidar, radar, GPR, communications equipment, survival equipment and more have all been carried by the Raven and it’s variants. It was also the first aircraft to successfully go through the CAAs CAOSC assessment process, and to this day a Raven still has the highest risk exemption ever granted in the UK.
The Raven includes a well proven anti vibration system for payloads of 10 Kgs or more, a 400A Power Distribution Board (PDB), DayBright LED Navigation lights with controller, and servoless retracts. It can now also be fitted with it’s own dedicated version of our distinctive Z arms, with clearance for prop sizes up to 28” in co axial configuration. The frame can be folded using our tool less quick fold system for ease of transport and storage.
