Recently the BO105 market has come off the peak of its pricing in 2013 and values are easing down to levels that make good examples of this light twin helicopter a compelling offer. Continue to compare options and you will see that very few BO105-CBS4's have all new paint and interior and sport a Wire Strike Protection Kit with High Skid Gear. Why? Well the WSPK is difficult to source and even more expensive to install. It involves major structural work that takes weeks of labour and the fixed provisions are almost impossible to source. In sales terms that is serious added value and further consideration should be afforded to core value, this aircraft has two C20B engines and each one of those with the time remaining has a core value of at least $120,000 USD total. That is almost half the value of the aircraft!
The BO105 series are still the toughest helicopter man has made and is the genus of the twin engine series from Eurocopter. Take five minutes to compare side by side the BO and the BK117 and you will see the BO105's DNA all over the BK. Rotor system and likewise many other components are all the same. These are great helicopters and after a full refurbishment in 2014, this one presents in excellent condition with years of affordable service available.
