A Bugatti Veyron will set you back $1,700,000 USD and top out at 410 km/hour. The Audi A8 sets you back $164,000 and gets to a respectable 330 km/hrs going around and around in a circle. DLN [or Dillon as it's known around the office] goes everywher at 212 km/hr and is 2% the cost of the Bugatti and only 20% the cost of the A8 and guaranteed to arrive in Pauanui a clean 2 hours faster than the tin lid options. ZK-DLN is our "company hack" A crass term for a little PA28-180 that has served us flawlessly and flown us all over the North Island. The engine is on condition, the interior looks like that of a 1970's caravan and the exterior needs a paint in time. The aircraft is strong, the performance from the fat wing is great off grass strips and weighing up the cost versus the benefit - this is a cheap aeroplane. Sad to see it go.
