WillowAir provide approved FAA Flight Training (under Part 61) and are fully equipped to assist in accordance with the Transport Security Administration Registration (Articles 49USC44939 and 49CFR1552). There is a legal requirement for ALL non-US citizens to be registered and approved for ANY Flight Training at an approved facility PRIOR to any Training Programme. WillowAir Instructors have completed the US TSA Security Training Course and hold the relevant certificates. We have high level experience with the Security Clearance Procedures and will help you through the registration process - FREE of charges.

The Complete Package

WillowAir are committed 100% to provide approved FAA Training & Testing - we do not dabble in maintenance, avionics, insurance (as with some other establishments/individuals) - we try to offer good quality training at its best and as affordable as possible. We use our own premises for training (we do not share with others or use other persons establishments).

WillowAir is in a unique position to offer Training in the UK for all FAA Examinations and Licences. We can recommend and arrange a package to suit the individual from the basic PPL to ATP with IR. Training can be completed in the UK. We are able to provide full Ground and Flight Training with our dual qualified instructors and then arrange for testing in the USA or here in the UK (we have a visiting DPE that can now flight test for all qualifications on a regular basis).

ALL VISITING FAA/DPE's ARE AUTHORISED BY THE NEW YORK IFO TO ConDUCT TESTS FOR US.

We can also assist with Visa applications (wher necessary), accommodation locally, and provide advice or consultation on most aviation matters.

Training from the FAA/PPL to FAA Multi, FAA CPL, FAA ATP, FAA Single and Multi IR requires an FAA approved instructor.

WillowAir will accompany all Students, that prefer to be tested in the USA, to our Approved Testing Centre in Florida to ensure appropriate supervision and levels are maintained. We can arrange your accommodation and accompany you from the accommodation to the airport, introduce you to the US Instructors and Examiners and remain with you to make your visit as pleasurable and constructive as possible. You are required to fly for at least 3 hours in the US to make yourself familiar with the airport and traffic patterns.

A 'letter of authenticity' is now mandatory before any examinations can be taken. The examiner requires payment prior to the date of the test/examination. In the event that there are problems with your paperwork or oral the test fee will be forfeited. When taking the test in the UK you may be required to position the aircraft to wher the FAA Approval is given.

PLEASE NOTE: A membership charge of £25 per calendar month will be levied by WillowAir for all FAA Activity to cover administration costs to WillowAir. If your training may take 3 months or more then consider Annual Membership at £80 (January to December). All memberships attract Club Landing Rates.
