Quiet Flight Active Noise & Vibration Control System: Product Description
Release time:2018-05-22        Views:597        Back to list

Description:

Quiet Flight's ANVCS is composed of three main components: sensors, controller(s) and actuators. As the number of sensors and actuators increases, the required processing power of the controller would increase. In order to reduce cost without sacrificing performance, Quiet Flight's ANVCS was designed using state-of-the-art digital signal processing engineering techniques and tools.

A computer simulation environment has been developed that enables controller performance verification under a variety of operating conditions, before actual control system hardware is built. This simulation environment is used to identify the optimal required number and location of sensors and actuators. Thus, Quiet Flight's ANVCS is designed for the optimal performance of a given system.

Our simulation capabilities have provided us the tools for designing cost effective ANVCS products for the general aviation fleet. Quiet Flight's unique ANVCS design is based on CTRC's ENVIsys patented technology that integrates advances in control theory, electronics, digital signal processing, acoustics and vibration. As outlined below, unique control technology and the identification of necessary performance specifications for sensors and actuators have contributed to the design of Quiet Flight's ANVCS products for use in general aviation.

Some of Quiet Flight's ANVCS unique features include:

· Self-adaptation to environmental or system variations

· Utilization of smart materials as actuators placed within the aircraft structure

· Capability to handle multi-input/multi-output systems

· Handling of both compact and distributed excitation sources

Quiet Flight's ANVCS controller:

· Remains stable during all operating conditions

· Is able to track and control broad-band or narrow-band noise excitations

· Interfaces with different types of actuators

Quiet Flight's ANVCS actuators are designed to:

· Be effective in the desired frequency range

· Fit specific application areas (geometric constraints)

· Have low power requirements

· Survive the system operating environment

· Can be incorporated with passive elements

Quiet Flight's ANVCS sensors:

· Do not introduce extra noise dynamics in desired frequency range

· Are able to provide leading information to the controller

· Are small and compact to fit any given geometry

· Can be inexpensively utilized in multiples

Quiet Flight and CTRC's Advanced Technologies group offers expertise in the backbone technology area or foundation of Quiet Flight's ANVCS product. Quiet Flight and CTRC's technology for three-dimensional acoustic and/or vibration field analysis provides analytical capability to identify optimal location(s) and configuration for sensor(s) and actuator(s). Quiet Flight and CTRC's unique active control technology is ready to address general aviation noise and vibration control problems.
