Weapon Release

The pneumatic power module used in Aerodyne Controls’ weapon release is a lighter, cleaner, more efficient and reliable product than its pyrotechnic ejection-charged counterparts. Pyrotechnics leave gunpowder residue over ejectors and manifold systems causing build-up and subsequent cleaning requirements. The pneumatic technology eliminates the need for pyrotechnic ejection. Cylinders containing compressed air or nitrogen can simply be reset and recharged when the compression is exhausted. The Aerodyne Controls’ pneumatic power module weapon release is designed for next generation fighters and is currently installed on UAV systems.
