The Commercial License is the first license that allows you to fly for hire.  once you earn your Commercial certificate, that permits you to work for an FAA certificated Part 121 or 135 air carrier or any operations for hire that fall under Part 91 rules.  This rating requires minimum training in a complex aircraft whether single or multi engine, that has retractable landing gear, flaps, and a controllable pitch propeller.

Requirements

- Be at least 18 years of age

- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language

- Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate (2nd class to          utilize commercial priveleges.)

- Receive a minimum of 120 hours of flight time including training and        solo flight (Requires 190 Total Hours including Private and Instrument      Time for Part 141)

- Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test
