Commercial Certificate Requirements:

Completion of PRAV 340, 342, 343, and 344

2nd Class Medical Certificate

Pass FAA Computer Knowledge Exam with Minimum Score of 70%

Pass Practical test

Minimum Flight Times

Dual Flight: 31 Hours

Solo Flight: 66 Hours

Simulator Flight: 24 Hours

Oral Instruction: 20 Hours

The minimum flight hour requirement for this certificate is 120 hours. Under ideal conditions, this flight experience can be obtained in two quarters. Many students complete part of their flight training during the summer quarter when flight weather is optimum for cross country flights. The flight experience is accumulated primarily in the Cessna 172. A Cessna 172RG is utilized for 10 hours of complex aircraft training. A Class II medical certificate is required for commercial operations, but is not needed for training.
