We have also been involved in the investigation of several aircraft accidents working in liaison with aviation insurance companies. During this time we liaised with the Victorian State Coroner’s Office. Edge Aviation was contracted to conduct independent investigation along with providing technical reports on the cause of the accident. In some cases this revealed failure of critical components resulting in further action on the part of CASA.

The proper investigation of any aircraft incidents and accidents is important in determining the contributory factors relating to any particular event. It may be that the accident occurred as a result of a failed component for example, that may require further action on behalf of the aircraft manufacturer or CASA to ensure there is not further accidents or incidents of the same nature.
