The Stinson Reliant kit is a 1:42 scale, flying model. Its pre-1942 design, eligible for Flying Aces Club Dime Scale and Society of Antique Modelers (SAM) contests.
The Stinson Aircraft Corporation introduced the Reliant in 1933. It was a 4 or 5 seat monoplane used primarily for civilian purposes until the start of WWII at which time several dozen were impressed into service by the US Coast Guard and Navy.
This free flight rubber powered kit contains a full-size rolled plan, building and flying instructions, laser cut balsa parts, hand-picked balsa stripwood, rubber motor, E-B propeller, EBM thrust bearing, clear plastic for the windshield, wheels, landing gear wire, and Easy Built Lite tissue in a variety of appropriate colors. To build this model you will need a building board, hobby knife, fine sandpaper, and glue.
