The Bleriot X1 kit is a 1:20 scale rubber powered flying model of the French pioneer aircraft. This kit is eligible for Flying Aces Club S.L.O.W. contests and SCALE competitions. Weight of prototype, 15.6 grams without rubber motor; add 1.5 grams for 1/8" x 19" rubber motor.
On July 25, 1909 French aviator, builder, and aircraft designer Louis Bleriot successfully crossed the English Channel from Calais to Dover in 36.5 minutes in his Bleriot XI using an Anzani engine designed by the Italian engineer Alessandro Anzani.
This free flight rubber powered kit contains a full-size rolled plan, building and flying instructions, LASER CUT balsa parts, hand-picked balsa strip wood, FAI rubber motor, E-B propeller, EBM thrust bearing, vacuum-molded Anzani engine, wire, and Easy Built Lite tissue in linen. To build this model you will need a building board, hobby knife, fine sandpaper, glue, pliers for cutting and bending light wire, and thread.
