Charleston Regional Accelerated Flight Training

WHY TRAIN WITH CRAFT?

Flight training has been done the same way since the Wright brothers in 1910 – getting right into the airplane for your first lesson. Unfortunately, the airplane is a terrible classroom for learning to fly.

CRAFT (Charleston Regional Accelerated Flight Training) changes the entire experience by first coaching you in our full-motion aircraft flight simulator so that you are more confident once you are in the airplane.

CRAFT represents your pathway to your license to fly – a way to get your pilot’s license in less time and at less cost. Integrating our flight simulator with your time in the airplane will save you both time and money!

OUR SIMULATOR

The Redbird FMX is a full motion, feature-rich, FAA-approved Advanced Aviation Training Device with multiple airplane configurations.

Standard features include wrap-around visuals, a fully enclosed cockpit, quick-change configurations, scenario-based training compatibility, and an electric motion platform, resulting in a level of realism that is simply unavailable in other training devices on the market.

Simply put, this is as close to real as it gets.

OUR AIRPLANES

Once you have practiced procedures in the simulator, it’s time to go to the airplane.

CRAFT manages a fleet of well-maintained aircraft, with an emphasis on Cessna 172s. You will find that the transition to the airplane is virtually seamless- your time in the simulator will teach you where to put your eyes, hands, and feet.

On your very first flight, you will be taking off on your own, a task that normally takes several hours in the airplane. Orville and Wilbur would have been proud!
