
Icelandic Flight Academy
The Icelandic Flight Academy (IFA) was founded in 1989, with the merger of several flight schools. IFA is the largest flight training organization (ATO) in Iceland and has it’s flight department located at Reykjavik Downtown Airport (BIRK). IFA offers a wide selecion of flight training courses, all in accordance with European standards (EASA), ranging fro private pilot level up to airline flight- and cabin crew recurrent training.
The aircraft fleet consists of:

• 4 Cessna 172 SP Skyhawk
• 2 PA 44-180 Piper Seminole
• 1 ALSIM ALX FNPT II MCC Flight Navigation Procedure Trainer
IFA operates the IFA Flying Club that includes three aircrafts utilized for recreational flying and hour building.
