Conflict minerals

‘Conflict Minerals’ refers to minerals or other derivatives (specifically, Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten, and Gold) mined in the eastern provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and in the adjoining countries wher the use of the Conflict Minerals may be directly or indirectly financing human rights violations or benefiting armed groups in those countries. In July 2010, the United States adopted the section 1502 of Dodd-Frank Financial Reform and Consumer Protection Act requiring all US public companies and their suppliers to disclose the chain of custody usage of conflict minerals.

PARROT fully supports this legislation and its position is to avoid the use of conflict minerals.

PARROT does not procure Conflict Minerals directly from mines or smelters; nevertheless PARROT has begun to embark upon the process of working with our suppliers to ensure that no conflict minerals will be used in our products in line with EICC/GeSI Standard.
