The Private Pilot Course teaches students the basics of flying a helicopter. A student will be introduced to a variety of flight maneuvers such as hovering, takeoffs, landings, approaches, cross-country flying, airport/off airport procedures, emergency maneuvering, and smooth control coordination.
Students will also be instructed on many areas of knowledge pertaining to flight and aviation. To name a few, these areas include aerodynamics, weather, navigation, regulations, and airspace.
A Private Pilot license allows an individual to fly for pleasure and take friends and family on flights. It does not allow you to work as a professional pilot. It is also a necessary step for individuals who seek a commercial helicopter license, and can be considered a “license to learn.”
