The perfect course for anyone who has ever dreamt of flying! A Private Pilot Licence (Aeroplanes), also known as a PPL(A) allows you to pilot or co-pilot single-engine-piston aeroplanes for non-commercial activities. You’ll enjoy a minimum of 50 hours of flight time as well as 100 hours of theory training as you learn the ins and outs of aeroplane flight.


Your trajectory:

To qualify for the PPL, EASA requires candidates to complete a minimum of 45 hours of flight instruction in aeroplanes. The flight hours must include:

25 hours of dual flight instruction;

10 hours of supervised solo flight time, of which at least 5 hours must be solo cross-country flight time;

a minimum of one cross-country flight of at least 270 km (150 nautical miles) with full-stop landings at two aerodromes other than the aerodrome of departure;

5 hours may be completed in a flight simulator.


Prerequisites

A candidate for a PPL must be at least 16 years old to undergo training and at least 17 years old to sit the PPL(A) Flight Skills test.
