Due to the increasingly complex electronics used in modern aviation seats , weight reduction through the use of lightweight materials is unavoidable. Plate and sheet of AMAG (seat cross-ties, armrests, seating area) are mainly used in the seat structure. In addition, aluminum is used as an enclosure for electronics boxes . Visible parts have a flawless surface and may not show irregularities (eg. caused by the casting process) after the surface treatment (anodizing).
