Certified Flight Instructor Overview

Required flight time - NA, only instructor sign-off requried

     once you have completed your instrument and commercial ratings you have the option of becoming a Certified Flight Instructor.  once you have your CFI you are able to teach others to fly, build flight time and receive financial compensation all in the same lesson.

     Whether you are using the CFI as a vehicle to build time toward your ATP rating or would like to become the chief pilot of a flight school the CFI is a very common step for most professional pilots.

Basic Requirements

Must be 18 years old

Must be able to pass a FAA class 3 physical

Must be able to read write and speak english
