ATR has also been customized to perform Meteo Research and Scientific Research by Safire, a joint partnership with the French Weather Service (Météo-France), and the French Space Agency (CNES). Finally, the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) has selected ATR as in-flight inspection aircraft and for calibration missions.
