AirBoss Aerospace was started in 1996 with a handshake between the two partners, Mark Bettosini and David Fawcett. They believed that there should be a one-stop desing firm that could offer a wide range of services including everything from conceptual design, structural analysis, prototyping, project management, and flight testing.
Mark Bettosini holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering from San Jose State University. He has worked on many successful designs with AirBoss and with prior companies. He has over 25 years experience in the aerospace field as both an engineer and a Marine Corps helicopter crew chief, mechanic/inspector.
Dave Fawcett attended Ohio State University in the field of Bio-physics/Bio-chemistry (minor in aeronautical engineering) with the intentions of ultimately going to medical school. Although not continuing on to become a doctor, he did go on to own and operate a variety of businesses. His experiences gained throughout his 25 years were instrumental in raising millions of dollars but also bidding, supervising, and completing multi-million dollar international construction projects.
AirBoss also utilizes the talents of many different people. We like to refer to them as our hired guns. Specialists in thermodynamics, propulsion, structures, mechanical systems, and fabrication to name a few.
