Introduction

In recent years, a successful revolutionary trend has developed in the aviation industry. Many publicly owned airports are now partnering with private operators and managers to bring efficiency and cost effectiveness to airport operations. This creates an opportunity for the private sector to invest capital into airports and develop airports in a way that is beneficial to the public. American Airports Corporation (AAC) is at the forefront of this fundamental change, demonstrating the skills, resources and proven track record necessary for successful public-private partnerships.

Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Santa Monica, California, American Airports Corporation is one of the largest general aviation airport management companies in the United States. AAC also develops and owns individual aviation facilities and fixed base operator (FBO) facilities. AAC provides a comprehensive program for development, operations and ownership of aviation-related projects and FBO operations by focusing on underutilized assets and offering aviation property owners the opportunity for increased returns on their assets, improved efficiencies and expanded economic opportunities.

American Airports Corporation’s President and Chairman, David G. Price, leads AAC with wisdom, experience and vision. He is the former owner of American Golf Corporation, a renowned leader in the golf course management business, which he built from a one-facility operation to a worldwide company with 320 facilities. Mr. Price has established AAC as a frontrunner in the airport management business, in the same manner as American Golf in the leisure industry.

American Airports Corporation has become one of the largest and most respected general aviation airport management companies in the United States. AAC administers a combined network of five airports and one FBO, with airport operations of over 430,000 per year, and manage over 1,500 tenants at airports ranging from primary reliever airports, to uncontrolled airfields. Since December 2000, AAC has successfully operated and managed all of the Los Angeles County owned Airports on behalf of the County of Los Angeles, California. The most recent addition is our operation at Clinton National Airport in Little Rock Arkansas, which added 14 new employees and created additional jobs in the area. In addition to airport and FBO management, AAC develops and owns individual aviation and FBO facilities.

With the implementation of world-class customer service, efficient and wisely run airport operations, quality people, the application of sound and practical business practices and a cohesive team of experts with a combined experience in the aviation industry totaling over 100 years, AAC is well positioned for continued growth and success.

AAC foresees a positive future for our business as corporations and individuals alike are increasingly opting for the added security and convenience that general aviation airports afford. We believe that by providing a safe, secure and progressive business environment at the airports and aviation facilities that we operate, AAC will be well positioned to continue to grow and provide quality support to airport and aviation property owners.
