Aurora Integrated Systems (AIS) is an Indian company developing indigenous technology, manufacturing and integrating state-of-the-art airborne systems with a focus on small Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). AIS is supported and funded by the Tata group, one of India's most respected business conglomerates, and by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
AIS believes in serving the needs of Armed forces and Peace Keeping forces by constantly innovating and by better understanding the requirements of safe-guarding borders and securing homeland. Our systems are tailored to meet requirements ranging from wartime operations to counter-terrorism and anti-insurgency operations.
AIS is the first company developing UAV technology in India without foreign assistance allowing it to pass on the economic benefits to the consumers. Indigenous development also implies that the delays and defaults due to licensing and sanctions imposed by foreign countries are minimal.
AIS´ systems are also redefining applications in civilian space such as Geo-Information Systems, Agriculture and Disaster Management by achieving unprecedented economy.
AIS was started by a team of seven graduates from IIT Kanpur involved in developing and manufacturing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) for civil and defense markets. The competencies of AIS encompass Embedded Systems Development, Computer Vision Solutions, Aircraft Design, Network Solutions and Guidance & Control. The strength of AIS lies in integrating these competencies necessary for development of state-of-the-art UAVs
