Introduction

Welcome to Clintonville.  Home of the Clintonville Truckers

Clintonville is rich in history, charm and hometown pride.  First settled in March of 1855, the current population is 4,521.

Clintonville’s Municipal Airport is historically recognized as the birthplace of Wisconsin Central Airlines.  Later renamed North Central Airlines and then Republic Airlines, in 1986 Northwest Orient Airlines purchased Republic also known as Northwest Airlines. In 2008, Northwest merged into Delta Air Lines.  Still open today, the municipal airport offers hangars and crop land for rent, a small airplane service center and fuel.

With three community parks, nine neighborhood parks and three boat landings, the Parks and Recreation Department provides a variety of classes, programs and recreational opportunities for people of all ages.  The city owns and operates a Recreation Center and a Community/Senior Center.  In addition, there are five outdoor shelters, available for rent.

Over the years, Clintonville has seen significant growth in its hustling and bustling Industrial Park. Seagrave Fire Apparatus, the longest running fire apparatus manufacturer in America; Walker-Forge, a closed die-steel foraging plant and 2012 Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year;  Creative Converting, a key manufacturer for mass market and mass specialty businesses requiring private label printing and manufacturing and custom tableware; Schutt Industries, America’s leading manufacturer of industrial and military grade cargo handling equipment; Deluxe Plastics, a full service custom injection molder; Specialized Products, an electrical assembly and contract manufacturing industry; and Utility Tool & Trailer, providing specially engineered products for the utility, commercial and military markets.

With the intersections of US 45, WIS 156 and WIS 22, running through the city, come visit.

Clintonville has much to offer.  Parks for play and picnics, boating, fishing, golf, swimming, hiking trails, biking, Clintonville A’s baseball games, a public library, museums, specialty shops, a coffee shop, restaurants and lodging.  You won’t be disappointed and may even want to move here and call Clintonville home.
