Cycle Aviation was founded September 2014. The history of the people within Cycle Aviation began two decades prior. In 1996 the Town of Leesburg executed an agreement with American Beechcraft Company to provide aviation services at Leesburg Airport. In 1998 Piedmont Aviation, Hawthorne Aviation and American Beechcraft merged to form Piedmont Hawthorne. In 2005, through a rebranding after a Piedmont-Hawthorne and Garrett merger, the name Landmark Aviation was seleced. In September of 2012 the Town of Leesburg assigned the Fixed base Operator Lease fro Landmark Aviation to ProJet Aviation. ProJet Aviation exited the aircraft maintenance business in August 2014 to focus on their worldwide charter operations. Skyline Aviation Service Center began aircraft maintenance support at Leesburg Executive Airport in October 2014. Through rebranding in February 2015 Skyline Aviation Service Center became Cycle Aviation. One month later the FAA completed its operational review and issued Cycle Aviation the FAA Repair Station Certificate. On March 01, 2016 Cycle Aviation expanded its capabilities and opened in Hagerstown Regional Airport.
