Kootenay Lake Aviation specializes in flight training and sightseeing tours out of our base at the Nelson Airport. Nestled in the Selkirk Mountains on the shores of Kootenay Lake, Nelson offers great flying opportunities for both students and experienced pilots alike. We are open year round for flight training, scenic flights, and air charters.
OUR FLEET
We operate a Cessna 172 and 182. The 172 is an ideal aircraft for flight training and its high wings are great for sightseeing because they don’t block out the incredible views of the ground below. The 182 is used for air charters, patrols, and scenic flights.
