In 1981, William Blackford created the Miami Jet Centers in Miami Florida. He envisioned a better way of private travel for individuals and successful business travelers, with emphasis on customer service and convenience.
On August 24, 1992, the devastating winds of hurricane Andrew flattened Kendall Tamiami Airport leaving only airplane parts and few hangar building in the storm’s path. Hurricane Andrew was one of the most devastating storms to hit KTMB since the airports inception.
Miami Jet Center opened the new facility in Fort Lauderdale in 2002.
The Miami Jet office is now located at the Miami Executive Airport (KTMB) in the Signature Flight Support FBO.
