As a part 61 flight school, Sunshine Flyers makes sure to teach our students everything they will need to know to achieve their license or rating in any field that we offer. Through ground instruction and dual air time, our instructors will ease you into the mechanics and aerodynamics of flight. We team our establishment with new and old technology, teaching you to navigate using a chart and compass as well as using GPS. Sunshine Flyers is located on the Auburn Airport airfield in Auburn, CA just outside Sacramento. This convenient location in Northern California offers easy flying access to the mountains, the valley, and the ocean.
Our flight school offers private, commercial, and instrument flight training as well as mountain flying, tail-wheel instruction, unusual attitude recovery, aerobatics, aircraft rental, and a private pilot ground school. Whatever it is you wish to do, we guarantee you will be flying with only the most experienced pilots. Never been on a dirt strip? We can teach you how it's done. Never flown in the Sierra? We can teach you that too! Sunshine Flyers also offers a $90 introductory flight lesson. No prior experience is necessary and there is no age limit, you merely need to bring your sense of adventure and a willingness to learn.
