Introduction
Turbine Engine Solutions is an independently owned and operated FAR 145 FAA/EASA (Federal Aviation Administration / European Aviation Safety Agency) approved repair station established in 2004. Since its inception, and with the loyalty of all our valued customers, along with our commitment to quality and turnaround time has allowed our rapid expansion. Our exponential growth has allowed us to expand our new business location, as of March 2011 into our current state of the art custom constructed building. With over 40 years of turbine engine overhaul experience, we certainly know what it takes to be cost effective, and yet produce a quality product during an engine overhaul. Originally Turbine Engine Solutions specialized on Pratt and Whitney JT8D-100 Series as well as the Pratt and Whitney JT8D-200 Series and have consistently added capabilities to our in house support shops. Recently Turbine Engine Solutions further expanded our P&W product line to include Pratt and Whitney Canada PT6A Series and CFM International CFM56 Fuel Nozzles to our list of capabilities.
Turbine Engine Solutions, selected Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A to our capabilities due to its popularity as one of the most popular aircraft engines in P&W history, with over 40,000 engines produced and still widely operated all over the world. Currently powering several different model aircraft in service on more than 6,500 operators in 170 countries, The PT6A family is particularly well known for its extremely high reliability and longevity. The US military uses the PT6A under the designation of T74 or T101 engine. The most popular variant is the PT6A which is available in a wide variety of models, covering power ranges between 580 and 920 shaft horsepower on the original series engine, and up to 1,940 shaft horsepower on the "large" series. The PT6B, PT6C and PT6T are other models which are widely used for helicopters.
The PT6A engines are available in more than 65 models, offering flexibility and capability for a variety of applications. More than 40,000 PT6A engines have been produced since the product family entered service in the 1960s, accumulating 300 million flying hours. PT6A engines have demonstrated their versatility in powering aircraft applications spanning airlines, general aviation, business or corporate aviation, agricultural and utility markets.
Turbine Engine Solutions is constantly sourcing used engines in the market, either outright purchase or through our exchange program with customers. The engines are repaired or overhauled in accordance to manufactures specifications and re-sold or leased to customers throughout the world. Some of these purchased engines are used for spare parts which are made serviceable through our shop processes in order to support repair and or overhaul of serviceable engines.
