Introduction
Wallace State Community College, located in Hanceville, Alabama began the pilot training program in 1978. We are a FAA Approved Part 141 School for both Airplane and Helicopter Pilot Training Programs. We offer an Associate in Applied Science Degree in both Airplane and Helicopter. We also offer part 61 for individual flight training for those that only want to obtain a certificate or rating. Wallace State is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
For veterans having Post 9-11 benefits - Don´t let another website fool you. Chapter 33 Benefits (Post 9-11), will pay for all courses and flight fees that are required for a degree. At Wallace State, the private certificate is a required course for the degree and always has been. So yes! The private pilot certificate is covered! The VA does require that the eligible veteran be degree seeking in order to receive the maximum benefits.
Courses offered are Private Pilot, Instrument and Commercial ratings for the Airplane and Private Pilot and Commercial ratings for Helicopter in the degree option. We also offer advanced ratings which include CFI, CFII, and Add-on ratings in both airplane and helicopter.
