From early May through the end of September each year Aviation North makes dedicated charter tours and sightseeing flights to Mackinac Island from most northern Michigan cities. Because these are charter flights, there are no security lines, and no taking off your shoes before you board. Your vacation starts before the flight! Allow us to take you quickly and safely from your home town airport right to the island! We provide air service based on a per passenger price. Our aircraft fly at an altitude wher you can easily see and photograph the scenery as we go. Shorelines, lighthouses and lake homes are all clearly seen as we soar above.
No Long Lines at the Ferry Dock
The only motorized vehicles permitted on Mackinac Island are emergency vehicles and aircraft! So after we land on the island a horse and carriage taxi will meet you and take you to your hotel, the fort or wherver you want to start sightseeing. Enjoy the natural beauty of the island as you take a relaxing and peaceful ride to town.
Travel on your Schedule
Best of all, you and your family get to choose when is best for you. Charter tours depart on your schedule and if you want to change your time frame, just call the pilot to adjust it. Because we can get you on the island early in the day and back home when you are ready, it eliminates the expensive overnight hotel room fees.

Fares
Aviation North can arrange to pick you up at most general aviation airports anywher in the lower 48 United States, the District of Columbia or Canada. Fares are based on wher we will meet you, but as an example:
Alpena to Mackinac Island for as low as $149 per person, round trip with a two-fare minimum. The flight only takes about 25 minutes, each way!
Gaylord to Mackinac Island for as low as $169 per person, round trip with a two-fare minimum. The flight only takes about 25 minutes, each way!
