During August it is expected there will be 1.95 million passengers and 15,000 aircraft movements.
Located about 25 kilometers from downtown Changsha in Huanghua town, Changsha county, the airport currently has 32 direct international routes.
To handle travel demands during the summer holiday, it plans to add routes to Aswan in Egypt, Moscow in Russia, Hokkaido in Japan and Manado in Indonesia.
The province's first non-stop flight to Australia will also come into service soon, departing Huanghua International Airport on September 12.
