Information of TTFLY: Leonardo-Finmeccanica's first flying AW609 prototype has arrived in Philadelphia. The manufacturer recently resumed flight testing of the aircraft.

Leonardo said involving the company's Philadelphia facility in the AW609 program signifies progress toward FAA certification, which is expected in 2018.

The aircraft will soon relocate to the manufacturers Italian facility. Meanwhile, another AW609 is being assembled in Philadelphia and will likely enter the test fleet next year, said Leonardo.
