Belarussian flag-carrier Belavia has taken delivery of a Boeing 737-800 in the airline’s new colour scheme.

The aircraft is the first of three ordered by the airline in June 2014.
Minsk-based Belavia says the twinjet will be used on both scheduled and charter services, and it is aiming to put the aircraft into service on 20 August.
Belavia says its livery had been associated with the Soviet era and that it wanted to create a “modern image” for the airline.
evelopment of the new livery took one-and-a-half years, it says, with assistance from branding specialist Paul Wylde which has been previously involved with several other airlines.
Belavia says five concepts were narrowed to one, centred on the cornflower logo. The airline adds that the cornflower is a symbol of “purity” and “friendliness”
