Hebei Airlines took delivery of a brand new Boeing 737-800 aircraft on Aug. 20, bringing its fleet size to 17 including 11 737s and six Embraer 190s

The 184-seat 737-800 passenger jet, Registration B-1561, touched down at Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport at 4:16 p.m. after a delivery flight from Seattle.

Hebei Airlines plans to take delivery of at least five aircraft each year during 2016-2020. As the only local carrier in Hebei Province, the airline aims to achieve annual revenue of 8 billion yuan and annual passenger volume of 8 million by the end of 2020.

By the end of 2020, the Shijiazhuang-based carrier is targeted to expand its fleet to 50 aircraft with 4,500 employees.

Besides, Hebei Airlines has applied to expand the scope of its business, to start operating services to Macau and Taiwan, as well as international destinations in neighboring countries.
