Information of TTFLY: The Turkish National Police's and General Directorate of Forestry's fleets of Bell Helicopter 429s have reached a 95% operational availability rate, Bell said Monday. The helicopters support public safety, firefighting and forest preservation.

Bell said that nation's fleet has maintained more than 50% of Bell's total market for the last five years — with 26 Bell 429s.

The 429 includes a fully integrated glass cockpit, advanced drive system, WAAS navigation and IFR capability. It can transport seven passengers one flight crew.

Other than Turkey, the manufacturer has gained customers for that model elsewher. In Sweden, seven 429s support the Swedish National Police, four for the New York Police Dept., one of two for the Slovakian Police and one for Mexico's Chihuahua State Government.
