Austrian Airlines has painted a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft with a special "Servus Hong Kong" decal, to celebrate its return to Hong Kong on September 5, 2016.

The 777 aircraft, Registration OE-LPD, is painted in the airline's "My Austrian" color scheme and now features the "Servus Hong Kong" decal on the rear, which shows the airline's focus to the new destination.

The aircraft was rolled out of the hangar on Aug. 29 and then flew to Shanghai.

Starting September, Austrian Airlines will resume flights from the capital Vienna to Hong Kong for the first time since 1999. The five-times-weekly flight is now open for reservations.

Hong Kong will become Austrian's third destination in Greater China, following Beijing and Shanghai. Elsewher in Asia Pacific, the airline flies to Bangkok, Tokyo, Astana, Male and Colombo.
