The Montgomery Regional Airport is asking passengers leaving on flights this week to arrive early.

The airport will experience higher passenger loads for all flights leaving the airport Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, according to airport officials.

The increase in traffic is due to the end of the Air Force Information Technology and Cyberpower conference, Labor Day weekend travel and also Alabama fans traveling to Texas for the season-opener against the University of Southern California.

American Airlines and Delta Air Lines will reportedly be using larger aircraft to accommodate the increase in passengers.

Passengers are also encouraged to check-in for flights at home or on their mobile devices. Those checking bags should arrive at least an hour and a half before departure. Those with carry-on items should arrive a minimum of one hour before departure.
