On Tuesday Sept. 13, EAA Chapter 1083 at the Rowan County Airport (KRUQ) in North Carolina will host the Fourth Fighter Wing Safety Group from Seymour Johnson Airforce base for a briefing for flights in and around Seymour Johnson AFB and the surrounding MOA’s and restricted areas in the Central Carolinas.
Each year, more people obtain their licenses and take to the air. The once great open expanse of the skies is becoming crowded and as aircraft traffic increases, so does the potential for mid-air collisions, chapter officials note.
Mid-Air Collision Avoidance (MACA) is important for all pilots and avoidance of the needless destruction, through mid-air collisions, is a goal for all in the sky.
A dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and the guest will take the floor at 6:45. Everyone is welcome.
