The Experimental Aircraft Association’s 1929 Ford Tri Motor will be in Columbia, S.C., Oct. 13-16.

EAA Chapter 242, Palmetto Sport Aviation, is sponsoring the plane at its home base, Jim Hamilton-LB Owens Airport (KCUB).

The stop at KCUB is the first leg of the Tri-Motor’s Southern Winter tour, according to officials.

Along with the Tri Motor, the chapter is planning a display of rare and unique aircraft on Saturday, Oct. 15, with proceeds from the gate going to Camp Kemo.

Rides on the Tri Motor are $70 for advance ticket sales and $75 at the gate. Children’s tickets up through age 17 are $50. Funds raised through the rides benefit EAA and the local chapter, which will donate its proceeds to Camp Kemo.
