At the biennial African Aerospace and Defence show in Waterkloof, Airbus Helicopters and Denel Aviation announced their partnership in the plan to upgrade and modernise the Rooivalk attack helicopter.

They signed a Memorandum of Understanding, reports IT Web, which outlines the steps in the enhancement programme. Such steps include advancing the supportability of the fleet, updating obsolete systems and improving operational capacities.

The end product of the programme is also to provide South Africa with an attractive solution for export customers that will be noticed worldwide.
