Shenzhen-based Donghai Airlines is awaiting approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for international operations.
The regional airline has been permitted to operate domestic cargo and passenger services - including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan services, as well as international cargo services. It is now applying to expand its business scope to cover international passenger services.
Donghai Airlines now operates eight Boeing 737-800 aircraft and builds an extensive domestic network. It will launch more international routes and speed up its international development.

The Transportation Department of CAAC is now soliciting public comments on the application until October 12, 2016.
