The Monterrey-based airline has orders for 40 A320neos, from an order of 52 A320 family aircraft that it announced in 2013.

VivaAerobus’ A320neos are powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100 engines, and can seat up to 186 passengers.

The airline, which also operates Boeing 737-300s, will transition to an all-A320 fleet by year-end. It operates 20 A320s currently.

VivaAerobus is the third airline in Latin America to take delivery of the A320neo, after LATAM Airlines Brazil and Volaris.
