Honda Aircraft has appointed SYI Aviation to provide sales, service and support in several countries in South America, Central America and all of the Caribbean. The Panama City-based dealer expands HondaJet sales efforts in the region a year after Honda Aircraft established a presence in Brazil.

Besides Central America and the Caribbean, SYI’s sales territory will include Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana in South America.

“Our well-received expansion in Brazil last year further solidified the Middle America and South American regions as potential growth markets, and for that reason we appointed SYI Aviation as our HondaJet dealer,” says Michimasa Fujino, president and chief executive of HondaJet.

Less than a year after the HondaJet received airworthiness certification, HondaJet’s global dealer network now extends to 12 territories in North America, South America and Europe.

Honda Aircraft completed a demonstration tour in the region this year, including a stop at the LABACE show in São Paulo, Brazil.
