Russian Helicopters' decision to push the Mi-171, Ka-32 and Ansat at Airshow China has continued to pay off. Jiangsu Baoli Aviation Equipment Co., Ltd. has signed for one of each, the company said. This follows a 2015 contract between the two companies for four Ka-32s.
In February, Jiangsu Baoli signed a contract for the delivery of four Ka-32A11BCs. As an extension of that relationship, the two companies signed an agreement for ground support, ground-based control and maintenance tools for the aircraft at Airshow China. Russian Helicopters said it is actively considering creating service centers in China due to the growth of its fleet in the country.
Adding to growth stemming from Airshow China is Lakeshore International Aviation Co., Ltd. Russian Helicopters just named the company an authorized agent of marketing and promotion of civil helicopters in China. The Ka-32 has been operational in the country for several years, supporting fire and rescue missions. The Mi-171 is also no stranger to China, have been used throughout the country for transportation and evacuation. Ansat, new to China, will be used to medevac operations.
