FreeFlight Systems has agreed to sell its Supplemental Type Certificate for ADS-B compliance on King Air C90 models to Signature TECHNICAir.
The transfer of ownership will allow TECHNICAir to modify and enhance the STC to meet the diverse needs of the King Air fleet while also expand the offering to include the light jet market, according to company officials.
The STC covers ADS-B installations on King Air aircraft using the FreeFlight Systems RANGR FDL-1090-TX, a Mode-S extended squitter transponder that is approved worldwide for ADS-B mandate compliance.

This data can be displayed on selec cockpit displays or wirelessly onto either an iPad or Android tablet operating a number of popular apps including ForeFlight, WingXPro, and the FreeFlight Systems ADS-B view app, which is available at no cost form the Apple app store.
