DARcorporation has released Advanced Aircraft Analysis Version 3.7 (or AAA 3.7).

AAA 3.7 was developed to help today’s aerospace engineers tackle the industry’s newest challenges and toughest problems, according to company officials.

The latest version can analyze fixed-wing aircraft with conventional and unconventional configurations, such as unmanned aerial systems, gliders, electric aircraft, tiltrotor aircraft and hybrid propulsion aircraft.

“Today, (the) industry is seeing more unconventional aircraft with more moving parts, more alternative power sources and more engines,” company officials said in a prepared released. “2016 has seen the announcement of several airplane designs that utilize distributed electric propulsion, some with an excess of 16 engines. AAA 3.7 can analyze and handle up to 500 electric engines at the same time, which is a huge benefit for the growing aircraft industry.”

Most of the new features were developed because of user feedback and from in-house research by DARcorporation engineers to keep current with industry trend, company officials noted.

One particularly useful feature is the library of more than 50 complete airplane examples ranging from commercial jets to military bombers to drones. Using this library, designers will be able to compare or extract useful data from these airplane examples, company officials said.
