Citation, King Air and Hawker customers can be assured that through a Textron Aviation service bulletin, their aircraft will be in compliance in any region throughout the world. This is unique in that supplemental type certifications offered by third-party providers often only cover the aircraft in the country it is registered, Textron officials noted.
This year alone, Textron Aviation has issued 10 service bulletins for ADS-B equipment on various models and has completed more than 1,000 installations .
Operation in some regions, including Australia and other areas in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim, already require ADS-B Out capability. Europe began requiring ADS-B Out for new aircraft operating there earlier this year, with a retrofit deadline in mid-2020. Operations in the United States will require ADS-B Out capability at the beginning of 2020.
