FAA chief Michael Huerta, en route to the Paris Air Show, called on the international aviation community to temper concern and skepticism about the risks that outsiders from the unmanned aircraft world pose for aviation.

“Wilbur and Orville Wright were aviation outsiders,” the FAA administrator told the Aviation Club of the U.K. in London June 15. “They were bicycle mechanics, not engineers or scientists.”
